Renegotiate or withdraw from NAFTA

Trump pledged to scrap or renegotiate NAFTA. He signed the USMCA (United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement) which replaced NAFTA.

Why the promise was broken:
Kept. NAFTA was replaced with USMCA, signed and ratified by all three countries.
