Stop helping Iraq if Nouri al-Maliki returns as prime minister

Stop helping Iraq if Nouri al-Maliki returns as prime minister
the United States of America will no longer help Iraq

The promise

Trump warned that Washington would stop helping Iraq if Nouri al-Maliki became prime minister again. The statement followed a decision by a major alliance of Iraqi Shiite political groups to nominate the former leader. Trump blamed Maliki's earlier tenure for instability and argued that Iraq could not prosper without American support. The supporting argument was that American assistance should not strengthen leadership associated with Iran-aligned factions. The objection was that conditioning support on Iraq's choice of leader could undermine its political autonomy and complicate an already delicate relationship. The post did not specify which aid, security cooperation, or other forms of assistance would be withdrawn.

How your vote counts
One answer per question, per promise
Your browser remembers your vote. Choosing another answer replaces the previous one instead of adding an extra vote. You can vote on other promises too.
Trust Index = Yes ÷ (Yes + No) × 100
A promise's confidence score uses its Yes and No votes. A public figure's score pools those votes across all their promises. Unsure is shown in the results but excluded from the score. With no Yes or No votes, the score is N/A.
A simple example
With 6 Yes, 4 No, and 2 Unsure votes, confidence is 60%: 6 ÷ 10. The result bars include all 12 votes, so the Yes bar shows 50%. Support and Oppose votes never enter this calculation.
Community confidence, open to change
These scores reflect participating visitors' opinions, not verified delivery or a representative poll. Votes stay open. Read the sources and update your answer as your view changes. Check the vote count alongside the percentage: a score based on a few votes can change quickly.
