Close the Kennedy Center for two years and promise a spectacular reopening
Therefore, The Trump Kennedy Center will close on July 4th, 2026

The promise

Trump announced in a written post that the Kennedy Center would close for approximately two years beginning on July 4. He said a full shutdown would allow faster and better reconstruction than keeping performances running during the work. His announcement was expressly subject to approval by the center's board. The supporting argument was that a concentrated renovation could improve a major national arts institution and avoid years of disruption. Critics linked the proposal to cancellations and institutional turmoil following his takeover of the board and the addition of his name to the venue. He promised an exceptional reopening, while the announcement left the detailed construction program and operational consequences unresolved.

How your vote counts
One answer per question, per promise
Your browser remembers your vote. Choosing another answer replaces the previous one instead of adding an extra vote. You can vote on other promises too.
Trust Index = Yes ÷ (Yes + No) × 100
A promise's confidence score uses its Yes and No votes. A public figure's score pools those votes across all their promises. Unsure is shown in the results but excluded from the score. With no Yes or No votes, the score is N/A.
A simple example
With 6 Yes, 4 No, and 2 Unsure votes, confidence is 60%: 6 ÷ 10. The result bars include all 12 votes, so the Yes bar shows 50%. Support and Oppose votes never enter this calculation.
Community confidence, open to change
These scores reflect participating visitors' opinions, not verified delivery or a representative poll. Votes stay open. Read the sources and update your answer as your view changes. Check the vote count alongside the percentage: a score based on a few votes can change quickly.
