The promise

Harris pledged to make broadband access universal and affordable. Through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, her administration allocated over $42 billion via the BEAD program to expand broadband networks nationwide and launched the Affordable Connectivity Program for low-income households. Construction and upgrades began before the end of her term. The promise to deliver historic internet investment was met, as confirmed by federal rollout data.
