The promise
During a congratulatory call to the American men's Olympic hockey team, Trump invited the players to attend the State of the Union. He then said the women's gold-medal team would also have to be invited and joked that he might otherwise be impeached. The exchange took place over a speakerphone in the men's locker room after their victory. Supporters characterized it as a lighthearted remark about making sure both winning teams were recognized.
